F/R FLIGHT RULES

THE FIRM

Decision discipline to capture new value.

Flight Rules exists because the instinct under pressure is efficiency, improved business as usual, and efficiency never requires a decision. New value does. We put the commitment decision back at the top of the investment agenda, and we stand behind it with delivery.

№ 01 · THE NAME, ONCE

NASA's flight rules are decisions made in advance. Mission Control learned, at cost, that the worst time to make a decision is the moment it arrives, so the criteria are written beforehand, with clear heads, and when the moment comes the poll is fast: go or no-go, called against rules everyone already agreed.

That is the discipline we install. It is the only time we will mention the space programme. The question we bring into every room is simpler: what are your flight rules? Most growth portfolios cannot answer it, which is why nothing can be killed and everything drifts.

№ 02 · HOW WE WORK

5.1

Senior only. Every engagement is delivered by experienced operators. There is no pyramid, no leverage model, and nobody in the room learning on your fee.

5.2

Ruling and shipping are the same people. When the verdict is go, the pod that ruled builds. Judgement with no delivery consequence is advice; we do not sell advice.

5.3

The no is real. Scrubs appear on the record with our name against them, and a readiness review that finds you do not need us says so in writing. That is the engagement working, not failing.

5.4

Fixed entry, aligned upside. The review is fixed fee and credited against the programme. Programme economics tie a share of our fee to value you can attribute, which is why the growth narrative and prototype exist: evidence, not assertion.

№ 03 · WHO WE WORK WITH

Executive teams and boards accountable for a growth portfolio, and the investors behind them. Engagements begin with the readiness review, deliberately small: two to four weeks is enough for both sides to see the discipline against your real portfolio before anything larger is committed.

№ 04 · THE FOUNDER

Flight Rules is founded by Nick Riggall. Operator, not adviser: the ventures on our register are his, which is why the discipline applies to us before we sell it.

№ 05 · START

One email begins it. Tell us the shape of your growth portfolio, roughly: how many initiatives, who rules on them today, and what prompted the question. We reply with whether a readiness review fits, the fixed fee, and the earliest start.
